Helping Out-of-Youth with Skills Training and Finding & Maintaining a Job

Kisasa Institute is dedicated to giving hope to the out-of-school youth with training and education services. We understand that there are life circumstances that may have hindered them from pursuing their education or finding a stable job. Our team works tirelessly to help these individuals attain a better life and give back to their community through quality adult and general education in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania.

Who Is Eligible?

Youth who possesses one of the listed barriers:

  1. You are between the ages of 18-24.
  2. You are a U.S. Citizen.
  3. Registered with Selective Service (males 18+).
  4. You are Low-Income.
  5. You meet the definition of Out of School Youth at WIOA ยง681.210 and you meet one or more of these barriers:
  6. School dropout
  7. Homeless
  8. Foster child
  9. Pregnant or parenting
  10. Offender or
  11. A low-income individual who requires additional assistance to complete an educational program, or to secure and hold employment.

The funding for this program is provided by the Delaware County Workforce Development Board, Pennsylvania CareerLink, United Way, TJX and Companies.
